The Challenge: Build on the success of 2010 G-Tech Driven Creativity Competition, expanding the reach to nine European countries and communicate in 3 languages.
The Driven Creativity Competition 2011 was open to professional and amateur filmmakers, photographers and musicians in nine European countries, and offered the chance to win G-Technology hard drives, have work displayed in galleries in London, Berlin and Paris and receive an overall grand prize of €5,000.
The liquid digital team designed and built G-Technology EU, FR and DE websites, corresponding Facebook pages and our social media managers in the UK, France and Germany updated these channels with creative content and updates throughout the duration of the competition. Liquid social media managers also established G-Technology EU, DE and FR Twitter feeds and promoted the competition with the hash tag #DrivenCreativity. In the UK, we are currently piloting a G-Technology Vimeo Channel and Group and Tumblr blog to further extend G-Technology’s presence within the creative community.
The Competition culminated in us project managing week-long exhibition’s in London, Berlin and Paris, which showcased the shortlisted entries. This involved streaming the film and music entries via branded iPad kiosks, which made for a truly interactive experience.
The number of competition entries rose +260% and web traffic to the G-Tech site increased by +450% when compared to the same period the previous year (137,698 Visits, 88,356 Unique Visitors and 706,832 Pageviews). We also generated +2400 new Facebook Fans and +500 Twitter Followers across EU, FR and DE pages.
We look forward to next year’s Driven Creativity competition.
