Social Media competition drives online traffic and sales of external storage for G-Technology
The Challenge
Build awareness of the G-Technology brand of external storage for Mac with the creative community.
The Liquid Way
We created the ‘Driven Creativity Competition’. Open to professional and amateur filmmakers, photographers and musicians it offered the chance to win G-Tech hard drives, have their work displayed in a London gallery and receive an overall grand prize of €5,000.
The competition highlighted the reliability of G-Tech drives by not only recognising the aesthetic qualities of the entries, but also the invention and drive that went into creating them.
Entries on the G-Technology website were shortlisted via peer voting with winners chosen by a jury panel of G-Tech creative ambassadors; including Grammy award-winning music producer, Kipper, renowned wildlife photographer, Tim Flach and Ivor Novello award-winning composer, Joris de Man.
Awareness of the competition was primarily via social media across the UK, France and Germany, with activity such as seeding video content from the creative jury professionals highlighting what they would be looking for in the judging process.
Liquid Results
The competition drove over 35,000 unique visitors to the G-Technology website with a substantial percentage making a purchase enquiry.
