UK launch of the new Skybed for Qantas
The Challenge
Launch the new Qantas Business Class ‘Skybed’ to journalists. The direction provided from Qantas in Sydney was to create a launch event at Heathrow inviting press onboard a Qantas 747 to experience the new seat. Our research showed that journalists were unlikely to attend an event at Heathrow for a carrier they considered niche in the UK marketplace.
The Liquid Way
We proposed a mobile Skybed experience, bringing their Business Class promise of ‘it’s all about you’ to life by offering each journalist a convenient viewing time and venue ‘just around the corner’ from their office.
Liquid Results
The roadshow was so successful that it was extended to Frequent Flyers, internal staff and travellers at Heathow. Press attendance exceeded target by 150%.
